Every now and again I become a crazy person on the hunt for the perfect something; a few years ago, it was artificial garland for Christmas. Once I found this garland it was game over – it’s durable and looks so real. We have two-story porches on our house and I have stocked up on enough over the past few years that I now have it draping all of our railings. I’ve had several people stop and ask me what kind of garland it is and even ask if it is real.

I’ll link to two of them here, but the star of the show (pictured above and used on our exterior and around our front door) is not actually garland. It’s called a hanging bush, so it’s “free” at one end, if that makes sense, but if I need to hold it together more, I just use some wire. You can find this beauty here. I have also used this one (indoors only) on top of the first on our stair rail, and they look so pretty together. These are both from Hobby Lobby and they are just in the regular floral section, so you can wait for them to go on sale (which they do often) and stock up all year long.
Garland is really one of those things that it is hard to tell how it’s going to look when you search online, so I hope this was helpful. Happy decorating (or planning for next year’s decorating!)
