I’ve decided that this year is the year I stop taking the lives of innocent plants. I love the idea of indoor plants, but I just can’t… apparently, keeping two little humans and one dog alive is my limit. I recently found these little gems that I want to share with you. These faux plants look so real and they are inexpensive which is hard to come by.
Now, if you do choose to buy these, you will hate me when they arrive, but that’s okay because you’ll love me in about 10 minutes. They arrive (or at least both of mine did) in a plastic bag that couldn’t possibly fit a plant. But, alas, it does. What you get is a black pot with some foam in it, stems, a bag of leaves for the actual plant, and some leafy-ish stuff to cover the foam in the pot with. So, yes, you have to assemble the plant, but keep in mind these are super affordable artificial plants (I’ve got a few tips on assembly that I’ll include at the end of this post).

There are several types of these plants offered, and I have ordered two thus far. I really love both of them and plan to buy more. I’d call these medium-sized for indoor plants, and I’ve put them both on my own plant stand and in a pot/basket to dress it up a bit. Just click the photo to go to the link of each one. Here is the first one that I ordered.
And here is the second one below. Both are a bit shiny which really helps them to look real. I’ll say, when they arrived and I got them put together, I was very surprised that they looked this real. For the price, I didn’t expect that.
As far as assembly, it’s really just putting the stems in the foam, spreading them out how you like them, and popping the individual leaves onto the stems. The foam, however, is white and shows through the greenery provided to cover it. What I ended up doing was cutting a round piece of brown felt fabric that I had on hand to put over the foam and under the greenery (I just cut a little hole in it to have the plant stem come through), and that completely solved it for me. You can see the difference in the photos below.
I hope you have the experience I did and consider these a sweet little find! I certainly do, and I plan to get a few more of these puppies into my home this year.
